I am a teacher librarian at John Pritchard School in RETSD. John Pritchard is a K-8 school in Winnipeg, MB ~ Canada. I hope to share some great ideas I have picked up from colleagues at sessions I have attended. I am fortunate enough to be the technology coordinator at my school as well as the teacher librarian. In both roles I have the opportunity to attend specialized professional development. I often take advantage of the "tech betterment" sessions that are offered through RETSD after school. Spending time on the internet following techie gurus can be time suckage at its finest, however, once in awhile you find a gem of an idea. Attach this to one of your own and voila a project is born! It’s my sincere hope that readers won’t view this wiki as an attempt on my part to say, “Look what I’m doing with technology!” Rather, my goal is to encourage teachers who, like me, want to find great ways to incorporate technology into the curriculum.
IBL - Inquiry Based Learning. You will notice that many of my pages begin with IBL - subject.

This translater widget is handy for a quick translation into French or any other language! Great for EAL students too.
My giant keyboard really comes in handy when I am working in an elementary school! Using Caps Lock is a bit of a pet peeve for me. I like the students to use the Shift key. I used to hold up my keyboard and show them where it was. The tildy next to the #1 comes in handy when we are using the program 'Wordle' to make word clouds! I have a large peacock feather beside it that I use to point out the semi-colon and other hard finds! I have the instructions to make your own keyboard on a the 'Computer Lab' page!
